How I work.

I work across the boundaries between coaching, strategy, and execution.

Sometimes that means helping an executive think through a leadership challenge. Sometimes it’s a company strategy, an organizational problem, a critical communication, or a transition. Often it’s … all of the above.

I learn the context, get into the substance, ask the questions that change how you see the problem, and help you find a way through it. When a problem calls for expertise beyond my own, I bring in trusted collaborators from my network across HR, compensation, recruiting, and technical domains.

My current clients span frontier AI, legal services, scientific research, and advanced hardware.

About Me

You know when toddlers keep asking you “why”? Well I never stopped.

I love to ask questions - and I keep asking them long after most people would stop, which often leads to overturning assumptions no one has examined or redesigning systems no one thought we could.

I’m equally compulsive about patterns. I tend to see connections between things that look unrelated—to pull a set of disparate problems together quickly and find the larger issue underneath them. It’s part of why I’m drawn to problems that don’t fit neatly into one box. A strategy problem turns out to be about incentives; a leadership challenge is really an organizational issue; a communications problem exposes something more fundamental about the strategy.

But seeing something isn’t particularly useful if you can’t help other people see it, too. I build trust quickly, and I’m good at meeting people where they are—understanding how they think, saying hard things in ways they can hear, and creating the kind of conversation where people can change their minds.

My career has given me a lot of different lenses to bring to that work. I’ve worked across media, education, communications, quantitative finance, frontier AI, organizational strategy, and executive coaching. In my career, I’ve developed television shows, led communications teams, run people strategy functions, and been an executive coach - I’ve even run a preschool. I’ve seen (and been a part of!) high performing teams at Hudson River Trading & OpenAI.

Today I advise and coach founders and executives confronting problems where the answer isn’t obvious—and where seeing the problem differently is often the first step toward solving it.

I live in NYC with three sweet little boys, who ask even more questions than I do.
